This window view from one side of a canal looks out on to an everyday scene of a fisherman on the opposite side repairing his nets in front of his home. His fishing boat is anchored below. Boxed geraniums, typical of many homes along the Mediterranean coastline, decorate the window frame, and a book entitled "Memoires" sits on the window sill. The scene evokes memories of Gerard's home town on the French Mediterranean Coast.
