"A Fisherman's Chores" is a window view of a canal, typically Mediterranean,  in "Trompe L'oeil" style. The view looks out on to an everyday scene of a fisherman on the opposite side of the canal, repairing his nets in front of his home. His fishing boat is anchored below. Boxed geraniums, typical of many homes along the Mediterranean coastline, decorate the window frame, and a book entitled "Memoires" sits on the window sill. The artwork captures the essence and simplicity of a fisherman's daily routine, in the context of a calm and inviting waterside space.
