Champs de Lavande – Lavender Field in Provence

"Champs de Lavande" is a "Trompe L'oeil" which captures the vibrant and tranquil atmosphere of a rural landscape, typical of "Provence" in Southern  France. With neat rows of lavender stretching towards the horizon and a warm, colourful sunset sky, the scene is viewed through an open rustic window. The perspective from ground level gives a sense of immersion in the scene, and the inclusion of an ancient village in the distance adds a touch of historical charm. The three-dimensional effect of the picked lavender in the foreground adds an extra layer of depth to the artwork, drawing the viewer into the serene, pastoral setting.
